FANZTOOL visits the AWO hobby workshop – a meeting place for wood lovers
We at FANZTOOL had the great pleasure of visiting the AWO Hobby Workshop. This inspiring workshop is a hub for anyone passionate about woodworking. It's a place where people come together to share their passion for crafts, exchange ideas, and realize exciting projects together.
The AWO Hobby Workshop aims to make woodworking accessible to everyone. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced woodworker, everyone will find a place to try out new things and develop their craft skills. In addition to the exchange between adults, the workshop also encourages young people: Daycare children regularly visit the workshop to gain their first experiences in woodworking and discover their passion for working with wood.
Random orbital sander – our successful product in the test
We first tested the orbital sander with the studio members. This product is widely used in woodworking and has proven to be extremely effective for sanding.

Workshop member Rudi noted that our old sanding mesh was a bit too hard for the same finish. Chris, the company manager, then explained that this problem had already been improved in the new version and invited us to test the product in direct comparison with other brands.

Multifunctional tool – versatility in practical testing
Next, we tested our new multi-tool, which is equipped with a variety of functions, including wood and metal cutting, milling, and sanding. Workshop member Rudi first attempted a wood cut, but initially used the wrong saw blade. After inserting the correct saw blade and familiarizing himself with the tool, he successfully completed the cut.

His feedback was consistently positive, although he noted that the device's noise level was relatively high. We take this valuable feedback seriously and will incorporate it into further product development to enable quieter operation in the future.
